Last night a finally to the time to do something that I have been wanting to do for long time now. On my way home from a labo party I decided to make a stop at a little family run Izakaya. (Japanese Pub) I am so glad that I did I would have to say that it was one of the funniest night i have had in Japan. There were only two other customers and the host/chief/bartender. (not to mention she was pretty good looking) So I sat there for about 40 minutes eating really good food and chatting with the other people in the pub. I am convinced that this is the best way for my to practice my japanese, and I think I don't give my self enough credit for my japanese. The people there kept telling me how good it was. As some of you know I have always wanted to be considered a "regular" at some place, well I never knew how easy it is when you are a foreigner. The owner and one of the customers invited me to come back soon. Since its on my way home I can see why not. The food is not the cheapest but i know where I can get really cheap kaki tori from some nice street vendor just before the pub so it all works out great. Now I just can't wait to go to these type of pub all over the world. Last night has really got me thinking about travel again.

Oh yes I this is an open invitation to anyone that would like to come and spend a few weeks in Japan with me. Around the second half of August I will be making one more trip from Osaka to Sapporo so if any one would like to come visit me in japan and see some really good sites drop me a line.

If i can say one thing about this trip to japan it is that is has been full of new experiences. Some of them wanted and some of them not. As a good traveler I take them both willingly, although i think I could have done with out experiencing my first fall down a flight of stairs. And I know I could have done with out the fall down the 2nd flight. But I was able learn something from that experience; 1. I need new shoes or at least through out the ones I am wearing now, and 2. Fall down stairs does not hurt as much as I thought it would.

One of the better memories that I have is when I played my first real game of dodge ball. I most say that this is the best game in the world. It's really great fun to through a ball as hard as you can at a bunch of people and watch them run in fear. (Japanese girls really funny some times) You see one of my jobs is to participate is the labo teen group called "Edge" or as the Japanese say "Ejii." So a few weeks ago we went to Osaka castle to look at the Cherry blossoms and then play dodge-ball. It was great fun.
